Guess it must have been a year ago
Left the movie 'cause it scared me so
Hurried home and locked the door real tight
Took one whiskey to prepare for the night
When I got my brush to wash my teeth
In the mirror I saw somebody reach - for me
I jumped up
I looked around but there was not a man about
I passed out

In every mirror I see there is someone next to me
I cannot hide cannot flee, each reflection makes him be
the mirror man on me

Coming round I thought I'd had a dream
Went to wash my face but he made me scream
So I ran and drove to mummie's place
'Till the rear-view mirror showed up his face
Then in windows of each darkened shop
and the silvered bar in Harold's pub
I knew I lost sense
'cause Harold took me to a mirror and said
Don't go mad

In every mirror I see there is someone next to me
I cannot hide cannot flee, each reflection makes him be
the mirror man on me

It took some time but now I'm pretty sure
I am not afraid of him no more
Learned to lipread so we're getting close
He's so clever, there's so much that he knows
Just a week ago I had my pass
Thanks to my friend in the looking glass
Oh God thanks a lot
There's noone in this world who sees what I see
Let him be!

In every mirror I see there is someone next to me
I cannot hide cannot flee, each reflection makes him be
the mirror man on me
